The Numark Blue Dog... the classic entry mixer. We salute you.

I had a mate who had one of them who thought it was the best thing on the planet. If you know how to work it, he's not wrong...

My first mixer in high school. No Knobs on this one. It's a radio shack model. Third post down is the photo of it. This was the only photo I could find.

This does look like overkill, but frankly I'm sick of people whinging about the 'optional' use of effects. At the end of the day they're just tools that you can choose to use creatively or not. I'd much prefer to have the extra options there if I choose to.

that mixers are only useful to use an automation in a pub with virtual dj... the materials cost more than the mixer, estimated sold price 10$, and still i doubt something would buy this

I played on a DJM 2000 at the BPM show last month, it was set up with the CDJ2000's as well.

The DJM is really good but way over-priced, probably too many features on it as well like the touchscreen, it's not that difficult to use but I don't see it ever becoming popular on run of the mill mixers. Funnily enough the CDJ's are exactly the same as well, no real difference in performance from the Mk3 1000's apart from USB use.

i like to point to the track with your finger and skip to there (i don't remember the name of the feature) for me that's a huge tool (skip parts, get back to a loop...) and big sound wave, cdj 2000 is worth honestly.

Needle drop/search ribbon or whatever it's called.

Looks like a savage feature.

Not worth 1600 sterling though. 1150/1250 maybe.

even in that demo video, the touch screen looks pretty iffy. a lot of times when he raises his finger away from the screen the fader kind of bounces back a bit. I think the screen might be a bit small for something like that, though I don't know how they could possibly make a bigger screen on a mixer already of that size.

Imagine when the screen eventually breaks. How much will it cost to get it repaired?

Ish don't think so.

Lol, between this and the blue dog, this thread just got epic.

Fuck rane, A&H and Pio for their puke inducing designs.

I used to have a mixer (soundlab) that literally had two faders and cross fader. It didn't even have a master volume control. It had three LEDs though.

Joking aside, I'm pretty sure, I would prefer to use the blue dog over the djm2000 if it came to it. (the blue dog probably sounds better anyway).
