I hate the game and think, especially lately, they are just feeding off the name of the game and the already existing community. I have die hard WoW friends who even say the game has gone way downhill since launch and every expansions makes the game worse and worse.

No it's simply most people don't like change, and they enjoy crying about it when it happens. When I played WoW religiously, and they shifted the 40 man raid groups to 20 man, it was a great thing. 6 hrs to run MC was a pain in the ass, and constantly waiting on 40 people to take piss and coffee breaks just to see if your precious armor piece or weapon is going to drop is what sucked.

I never quite understood the appeal of raids. Where's the fun in spending hours doing repetitive tasks, just to see if you can get a piece of armor or a rare mount?

because the game WAS fun and exciting back then. after all the expansions and bullshit updates it got repetitive. nothing beats the old MC/BWL days. fuck, even AQ was bad ass.
