I watched or read an interview with Kaskade during the voting and I remember him saying he doesn't do much in terms of whoring himself out for DJ Mag votes.
Sad that Tritonal isn't ranked, I would seriously got a message on FB from them almost every week asking for our vote. The two times I saw them they played some of the most energetic sets I've seen.

It costs THOUSANDS to have a banner here in the front page for a month. Hundreds for one week, and not that much rotation.
Thats how long I saw this ad, for a month. To get an idea of the traffic on this website and caliber of ads, they have a Hyundai ad right now for the new suv. I refreshed and its a KIA add for their SUV, I refreshed again and its a Virgin America ad. Big money ads because of the hits the site gets.
I guess no one cared about this guy, he didn't even break into the top 100 after all that money spent. lol

Wow, if that's the real list, it makes even less sense than normal. Lots of strange rises and falls. Poor Ferry is never gonna get into the top 5.
It's good to see Arnej on there. Kinda sucks Richard Durand dropped some, though. He's great, and I thought for sure doing ISoS 8 would cause him to jump.

Yes
Kaskade's album 'Dynasty' debuted at #5 on the iTunes overall album chart.
The point of me bringing up Kaskade is the accuracy of the DJ Mag Poll; if the poll were based on skill and sales. Artists like A-Trak and Kaskade would easily be in the top 10.
I mean look at where Daft Punk and Sven Vath are on that suppose list?

My only real shock is that Swedish House Mafia isn't on the Top 5. They're the flavor of the week right now.
a lot of the groupies voted for SHM rather than the 3 individuals.
axwell, angello AND ingrosso are all in the top 20. imagine you took all those votes and made them into SHM votes. would be #1 by a long shot.

its the DJ poll...
Not the producer poll
or sales poll
kaskade will get even more love when he stops playing the same set over and over(much like a few other dj's we freely speak about here on TA). He was one of my top 5, but im also a fan of his productions. a lot of big dj's dont care about the poll...they don't need it because they are already well respected and renowned. it's the guys who dont have a radio show, have not made top selling albums, or have residencies at big time clubs that need this poll.
Sharam, Carl Cox, Sasha etc, they will be just fine.
and as for sven vath, i know Nero was referring to his ranking, but it was ambiguous enough to make my post.

this list is crap. to me this is the least credible one to date. it seems to get less respect every year if thats even possible.

Agreed. Love Markus and I think he has been absolutely unstoppable this year. I liked his new album way better than Emery's too. Also Ferry... I know he has always been top 10 and will be for a while but his OUAN compilations this year have been some of the best I've heard in a LONG ass time so I think he deserved to move up a bit too.

So far this list is SPOT ON with 90-100. I've been watching them release the DJ's and they're in the same order.
