i dont see why the majority would hate the RIAA in the first place. RIAA's mission is to stop music piracy so how is that bad? If the majority of people would use P2P while maybe a few people actually buy the cds and then rip them for the P2P people, how could record companies survive? if record companies couldn't survive, artists wouldn't survive as well. Artists are just like us!! they need to survive and the only way to survive is money!! we pay for their cds, they get money so they can continue working and make more music! i just dont see how the RIAA haters don't see this logic.

I support the idea that people should buy the music they like to support the artists, but RIAA is all about shutting down pirat music over the internet- in other words... no more mp3's.

Your almost right. The problem is the riaa is that most artist get less than 1% of each cd sold, in most cases it makes up less than 5% of there income per year. The exception are the smaller acts who are strugling to keep from getting dropped from the label, but if your on a label your fine.

Wait- I'm a litte confused about something here? Ok-- the RIAA is trying to shut down music piracy- but then again isn't it only an American organization? What about all of the European labels? I bet 6 times out 10 that most trance labels don't really care about all of this piracy bullshit. They make a bulk of their money from their live events. Dispersing CDs to trance fans over the internet just basically increases their popularity. Thus, "More fans = More people at live events." So I was just curious what exactly is the RIAA going to do about European/// or rather every other nation other than America about music piracy. Hell, P2P Programs are popping up more than ever. If one network- for example Napster closes, another one is going to pop up- i.e. Audio Galaxy and so forth. I say down with RIAA! Hack it again damnit!

Basically its because most of the filesharing services are based in the U.S, and even if there not there distributing stuff thats property of artists on there labels.
