I remember hearing last year that they were working on a film with that title, but when I saw the preview in the theater (at Harry Potter!) I didnt remember until they flashed Cowboys and Aliens at the end. And although I thought the trailer looked awesome, I still laughed out loud when I saw the name of the movie (along with many others in the theater).

well for one thing, i wasn't just referring to movies about aliens, but the fact that right as we get closer to 2012, the frequency of movies being released that depict aliens in a negative light seems to be on the rise.
besides, what you said just strengthens my point! how many movies have actually portrayed aliens in a positive light? maybe 5 - 10% tops. most of the time they're always trying to convince people that aliens would only ever be interested in destroying us.

Yeah, because it'd be really awesome to watch a chick flick with an alien girl who pretends to be human so she can learn more about our funny habits and falls in love with the guy she's supposed to spy on. Screw that, we all want them to blow up the White House again!
