ATTN JAYD.....

those speakers that armin uses run for 320 bucks for a single unit. I know a guy who is selling the pair for 400. Send me a private message if you are interested.

I am 100% sure that they are the same speakers.

man that's a lot

319 $ per speaker + it's biamped?
and armin uses it ?

wow I'm impressed

that's actually pretty cheap for what it is ....

you sure they don't have a higher model similar to the one in the pic ( they really look alike , I don't doubt it, but isn't there like a more powerful version ? )

I took a quick look on yamaha's website and didn't see any other speakers that looked like that.

jdat, what is your take on those specs?

but for me, my $100 CND (each) monitors are good enough.

clear, good volumes, and a sub to compliment.

of course I always monitor with headphones aswell, to prevent speaker flaws from destroying a mix (such as the scenario lexicon has provided for us )

plus, what kind of bookshelves run at 100-18,000 Hz ? That's rediculous. my radioshack cheapo speakers even run at 65-22,000 Hz
plus like i said, my cheapo radioshack sub pounds down the frequencies at 40-160 Hz.

It's not perfect, but you know it is good enough.

meh, if they are good enough for Armin, they are good enough for me

and by the way, I just found confirmation that these are indeed the speakers Armin uses.

Under the "Monitoring" section of his studio section:

Yamaha MSP5
