i used to use mach3 turbo's, but tried using schick quattro and definitely stuck with me. MUCH better, imo.

i just shave in the shower, with regular soap. and i do it every day too.
the quattros keep me pretty smooth, even after multiple uses.

I find that you can get a better/closer shave with better product, not necessarily a different razor. Look into a proper shaving set with better face wash, lather, shaving foam/cream and after shave.

There's one called Art Of Shaving that's pretty good.

Good call, actually. I used the regular Gilette shaving foam for ages, and it was ok. Last year I changed to some Nivea moisturising stuff, and it's heaps better.

I've used everything from discount Gillette knock-off's, to the the most recent Gillette ProGlide, and I've yet to come across any razor that fails to leave a reasonable amount of stubble afterwards. The only notable difference I've noticed is that the lower-end razors just leave more of it over time faster than the brand-name ones do.

It's not at all a problem, though, as I rather prefer a bit of stubble at all times, so I guess my razor's deficiencies are my gains.
