Wait, what's this about Richard Durand? I -love- his Always the Sun artist album and thought ISoS 8 was excellent. I've heard others say he's great live. Can you elaborate?
And what I've learned following EDM is that a lot of people are, in fact, just in it for the drugs and even fans of the uplifting, inspiring genre of trance can become bitter, grumpy haters. |
Yeah, we had a gig over a year ago with Sean Tyas and Richard Durand...I had great conversations with Tyas and he was really helpful with alot of things...nice guy and played a good, structured set but Durand let me down, I was a massive fan of some of his material but he didn't understand some of the Production stuff (fair enough he's not there to talk about Production) but it seemed he was only there for the girls (who can blame him) just set me apart 2 DJ's who had the passion for different things plus Durand's set was not the best, it was okay but me and my mates talked about our disappointment in Durand, it's become a familiar theme for me but I learn that some DJ's are there for the party and fair enough, they might live up to that expectation for the regular crowd but when you become involved in the EDM scene...it's a bit discouraging.
