Don't mistake lack of empathy for animosity. In the case of Lohan, there's plenty of factual evidence beyond the tabloids that can't be misconstrued. The difference between celebrities and politics in this case is that there is a reason for us to pay attention to the latter. We are learning (hopefully) about how out country works. With celebrities we're just judging people we don't know from a distance to no gain. Go see their movies or don't, listen to their tunes if you like them, but I just don't see any reason to go any further than that.
