not to start a new thread, but hard house (or what i consider to be hard house) is all the lisa lashes, andy farley, fergie 160 bpm junk out there. it may not ALL be junk, but that annoying as hell, repetitive kick snare combined with a beat for those with a hummingbird's metabolism makes for verrry similar songs - just not for me. i dont consider anything by picotto to be hard house.. he's like really hard, banging trance.
anne savage showed her stuff, she's mainly known to be HH, but wisely used her Essential Mix set for trance and prog.
if you say picotto is hard house, well, i like him. and some tony devit too, the father of hard house. the late, great devit combined harmonic trance themes with a quick, piercing bassline, which i dont mind (e.g. the dawn)
but its hard for me to find HH to get excited about nowadays
