tech house? my favorite genre but also the most difficult to find stuff within it. disclaimer: tech house to me is on the edge to become hardhouse, only alot funkier and slower - lots of sampling and filtering and generally few synths. organic shit with a groove basically.
just a few out of my mind. has more in my vinyl collection but dont remember names, only covers.

125-126 bpm is not in any way 'general'.
in any case the point is that tempo is irrelevant in distinguishing tech house from any other kind of house.

the ethnic tech house, the minimal tech house, and the original stuff that was closer to prog house ... the majority of it fell into a bpm range lower than 128. this is why he said generally. he wasnt saying all tech house fell into exactly 125-126 you dance music history museum curator dingle berry. some of those examples you posted are quirky exceptions to the rule that ricardo, richie, luciano etc played a lot back in 06-08 and should not be used as an example of what most tech house is like.

that was the opposite of my intention, which was rather to show that tech house encompasses a broad range of sounds and tempos, the common factor being that they all incorporate elements of techno with a house beat.

the techno elements thing is more relevant than bpm ill give you that, but its hard to ignore most of tech house over the past 15 years did fall into a slower bpm range compared to its brethren.

I think after listening some it's the BPM which is too slow for me to like it, so what's about the fastest then?
I do like oldies like:
Trancesetters - The Search (House, Techno)
Natural Born Grooves - Groovebird (Progressive House, House)
But then a slow track like Wamdue Project - King Of My Castle I think is nice too, so it's probably more like the combination then I guess?

i don't think so. deep house is generally the slowest sub genre.

I like all three of them and also Ron Trent's Altered States.
So now I think there is Tech House which is awesome and Tech House which totally sucks.
Hmmmm, it has always been like that with any genre hasn't it?

totally. music with bpm under 135 and over 140 usually suck. quite easy isnt it? most important is the groove to me, no matter what genre.
you will love the two first i posted too if you find them but i didnt even find them on youtube. there was some remix of the fantasy track but not the right version. i could rip them for you if i get something in return
also check out all the volumes of the untidy disposable disco dubs stuff, tons of great funky stuff there, before hardhouse became shitty.
my favorit (if you got spotify): http://open.spotify.com/track/0r5sb2LH9Gqaqv7RkcI2ql
good music will be underground forever!
