Right, what was the fault? The only thing you could say is "wrong" with mine is that the covering over the foam of the ear cup has been steadily peeling off recently, but that's purely aesthetic.

Basically that part just snaps together to hold that left earcup on. I read about other people having problems with them in the DJ Booth forum back in '04. Troll lately, HD-25s selling point for me is the high attenuation for mid-range richness. I don't think they have a swivel cup though.
