Right, what was the fault? The only thing you could say is "wrong" with mine is that the covering over the foam of the ear cup has been steadily peeling off recently, but that's purely aesthetic.

Basically that part just snaps together to hold that left earcup on. I read about other people having problems with them in the DJ Booth forum back in '04. Apparently it was only with a small percentage of them, lucky me. I'll never forget when it happened, I was in the middle of a mix and the shit just fell off and the plastic dug into my head. $150 I'm still wanting some Sennheiser HD-25s

Well, since this thread no longer has anything to do with how you got into classic trance...

I need to buy some new headphones for listening on the computer and potentially taking out and about for walks in decent weather. Anyone have any recommendations? No earbuds, please.

So are Sennheiser 'phones like the Rolls Royce of headphones or what? I'd never heard of them before.

Troll lately, HD-25s selling point for me is the high attenuation for mid-range richness. I don't think they have a swivel cup though.

These would be the Rolls Royce equivalent:http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/6...1000-Headphones

Gaze upon the glory.

I think my next pair will be these:

I really don't need anything more than about $150.

I have AKG K240, which are getting a bit worn. Still love them, though.

I may make some Audio-Technica ATH-M50S phones my next pair:

Tons of great reviews on them.

Must I? It's such a sensitive subject.
