I have quit smoking on several occasions.

the last attempt i made, I was at tim hortons, and instead of asking for a large regular, i asked for Dumaurier premier large regular.

I LOOOLED..and then bought a pack of smokes. happy ever since.

I was never a cravings person either, sometimes I smoked if I was bored...it felt great while high, after sex, a meal, and especially drinking. Never went through a pack in day as well.

I think it's more likely they just wanted to smoke indoors, don't you? E-cigs do make you look like a bit of a gimp though.

Plenty of exercise, green tea and in my opinion don't bother with the patches or gum or shit, especially after 3 & 1/2 weeks as all you would be doing is re-introducing nicotine into your system. Keep as busy as possible but its not easy. It would be good if it was over after the nicotine leaves your system but you may still be fucked for a few months at the very least. The first week or so is the hardest so at least you are past that.

I tried to stop like 5 or 6 times using the patches, gum and fake cigarettes and never managed it. I then quit weed and cigarettes cold turkey and been off the fags for over 2 years. Still smoke the odd doobie but its always tobacco free.

At the end of the day you have to WANT to stop, otherwise you won't. Word of warning though, I still get cravings especially when people are sitting outside having a pint and a smoke.....bastards! Because you have enjoyed the love of smoking it will never leave you, not matter how long you

Also, if you do end up using the patches. Never ever ever ever leave it on when you go to bed!!!! If you think the dreams are weird without nicotine then the patches will f*cking haunt you man!!!!

Great advice, thanks. Patches and gum never mad sense since I was trying to rid my body of it. Yeah everytime I see someone smoking it reminds me of the old times and how relaxing it is, so I mentally prepared for that shit.

Thats funny you mention crazy dreams cuz lately they've been really fucked up, and I'm a lucid dreamer.

I started smoking weed again about 4 months ago. The weed was a lot worse to quit as I was a pretty heavy smoker but you defo feel the difference when you quit / dramatically cut down. I go to the gym like 4 or 5 times a week now whereas before I just drank and smoked......typical Scottish lifestyle haha.

The dreams are pretty random right?? I wasn't prepared for that at all and nobody warned me about it. Luckily they do subside and its really just all the nasty shit leaving your body, which is a good thing.

I think everyone is different when it comes to smoking/quitting. It all depends on your personality and unfortunately, mine is quite an addictive personality so I found it harder than most to quit. You just have to work out what's best for you to break the habit. Its better to quit now than 10 years down the line before you do to much damage.

^^^Scots-Irish blood here. I'd classify myself as a chronic stoner, smoking almost everyday for about 6 years. The dreams are random as fuck but sometimes cool though. Never really was fond of alcohol but now I find myself hitting the whiskey more, and I'd also myself to have and addictive personality; so I'm surprised how well its been so far.
