yeah precisely...it's at least more satisfying to find some sort of resolution to each strain of thought initiated than letting them sit in an 'unfinished' state

I have the exact opposite problem.

I'll be spending weeks working on scoring out a symphony that was in my head, then just get bored of the notes and clefs and bleh.

not sure if that is the 'opposite' problem. though you're finding it difficult to finish what you're scoring from mental inspiration, you're getting 'bored' with it and thereby reaching some sort of internal conclusion that you're inherently displeased with what's coming out...i.e., you're not striving to finish what you've got. if i've got concepts on the go, i want to finish them. i don't keep files i'm 'bored' with or not wanting to use.

Well it's just I loose the motivation to finish them. That's usually the point when I put all the melodies and loops up for people to download and use for themselves.

Thanks for uploading it to soundcloud! I like the synth you use in the first track, and the percussive elements when the beat comes in are pretty awesome. For me, the intro was way to long and the cow bell was mixed to high. I only was able to listen to the first to tracks and both seemed very hypnotic; I like to here some progression, variations in melody, brakedowns, buildups, bridges etc etc. The tempo was really high but I really liked most of the beats. Some cool sounds in there too.
