ZOMG I hate this kind of music. Mix glitch with sidechain, about 10mins worth of composing and I'll do a better mix.

I think I'm going to start making this type of terrible music just to put my money where my mouth is. Sounds boring/too simple and all the cheesy stutters and beeps just sound random and gay. This is why I'll never like electro or house music, trance is much better at setting a mood and taking you somewhere. This shit just bounces around endlessly and seems cold and unengaging. Good to put me to sleep. And whats the deal with making grooves out of random fx I hate that shit. Just line up as many fxs as you can, stop/start the beat 1000 times and you're gold.

Next time someone criticizes one of my tracks I'll remember what you're all really into. This garbage.

You're being an idiot. You have no idea what you're talking about. The electro glitch style is far harder to produce than trance. It may be less melodic but It involves complex sound design. My track burst has 16 tracks for the bass line alone. Go ahead. Try it.

And you liked my track Venom... it's electro? I can understand you not liking Madeon's style of electro, but there's plenty of electro that can "take you to a place" just as well as trance can.

Ok granted I'm being an idiot in the regard that I do not nor ever have made electro, but I think that may change tonight. I've never had the temptation to make this crap untill I saw how many people were fiending over such a simplistic and boring sounding beat.

Is it the cheesy vocals that make you want to dance? Or the segments of random chorus/flanging/bitcrushing that happens totally at random? I mean it literally sounds like he just laid out blocks of effects and sequenced them over a really simple beat. As far as your track I was careful not to be bias in my hate for electro so I judged it soley on effort and form. From a production standpoint is was good, considering where you had came from it was even more impressing, but that doesn't mean I still didn't hate the track from an emotional stand point which I did. None of this music ever engages me and I honestly don't think its the melodies. Its that the way they are made is too distracting. When I hear a phaser/chorus/flanger/bitcrush/stretch/pitchshift all within a half a bar it confuses me. Almost all of this music seems to have it. And it all seems like "filler" just to make the actual generic sounding beat seem longer than it is. I'm not sure who originate the style but its a disaster imo. Rip on trance all day long but its stable, driving, melodic, and far more engaging and emotional. Electro is jumpy, bouncy and distracting, the basslines are always standard off beat and move around like heavy farts that get pitched up or down every bar or 2. I never hear anything intricate or complex in the basslines either. In trance when you have fast 16th hitting basslines theres so much more potential for complexity. With these basslines all I ever hear are fx and massive sidechaining. But never anything really engaging about the bassline itself.

I realize I'm obviously bias because I think any monkey can make this music but I'm still yet to hear a single electro track that doesn't sound cold and unengaging. Theres no anticipation or build up, just random beat changes untill one bigger change happens. Its hard for me to explain as I just don't get it. And I WISH I could because I see how this crap has taken over our society. But wtf. Look at Kesha lol. Everytime I hear that bitch on the radio I wanna drive my car off the road. I realize thats as commercial as this crap comes but just to be making the same genre of music as her you should know you made the wrong choice.

Anyway I know I'm really being an idiot now but I've had enough of this shit. I'm starting to make electro as of tonight. And I'm going to make a brand of electro that actually engages people. Instead of random fx maybe I'll try to make the fx actually groove. We'll see how "easy" this is first hand. And if its not, then at least I'll have a newfound appreciation for this crap.

rox is going electro, das rite bitches.

Have you heard some of my music? My electro house tracks are engaging and aren't random. I use the same complex sounds but it's calculated and everything is intentional and purposeful. There are terrible "complextro" tracks that are created when people just load a bunch of samples onto a pad and hit them at random, but I actually create every single synth sound, I don't use any samples and my tracks have an obvious groove to them.

You listened to Venom and liked it and it's electro... my tracks always have a vibe to them too and I utilize breakdowns in a fashion that a lot of electro artists don't.

Seventeen (Original Mix) by Seandroid

That's one of my older tracks Seventeen. There's no way you can tell me that's cold and emotionless. You're just being ignorant. You don't listen to electro so all you hear is the stuff that hits the radio or gets posted on here.

Here's my track Venom which you said you liked, you mean to tell me that this has no anticipation? The second drop is completely unexpected and goes all complextro... and if you think it's not groovy then you're nuts.

Seandroid - Venom (Preview) by Seandroid

Not to mention you're complaining about simplistic grooves when you make TRANCE. Trance hardly ever has anything even resembling a groove. It's so rigid and boring most of the time.

You think electro is simplistic and boring but I put trance on before I go to bed because it makes me fall asleep and I'm not being sarcastic. I literally have a trance playlist called "sleep." I'm baffled that you think electro sounds simple and easy to make.

Honestly I swear you need to lay off the cocaine.

Robby has a point in that it can be too much glitchy stuff if really all you do is this kind of stuff. If you never mix up, just always make the same thing, I'd get really bored of it as an artist.

True but that notion is applicable to all genres.

K, here's what I think is going on, Deadma5 knew singer cos they remixed her on Morgan Page's track, 'the longest road', it kind of sounds like a not as good follow up...as for the vocals anything but cheesy (and you can tell it's her as her voice is pretty unique), although just too much of them on the original....

The remix here seems to just get into it and has a good drop, and that is gonna make people dance, which is kinda the point after all!

I'm hoping they do play the remix on Sunday in Vegas, and I'll let you know if the crowd goes off!

PS glitcy dubstep is just around now, no ignoring it, although doesn't really serve a good purpose here!

That's my 2 cents! Off to vegas to party!
