Tranceseeker: With a few exceptions, that's a list of mediocre songs imo. None of them are classics in my book. I'd agree that 2001 was a bad year compared to 99-00, and 02.

Agree with you on this. The list reeks of mediocrity in my opinion. But there are classics there, Flight 643, Souvenir de Chine, Exhale, Missed Beat, Music non Stop are all tunes I still sneak in sets now and again, classics in my opinion.

But Voodoo, come on you don't seriously think this was even a mediocre tune???

I would hardly call most of that list "mediocre". Let's not get blinded by nostalgia now... many of those deserve to be called classics, or at least modern classics. I'd put at least the following under that category:

Members Of Mayday - 10 In 01
Meridian - Starving Dolphins
Tenth Planet - Ghosts
Kay Cee - Unsolved Mysteries
Body-Shock - Ghosts In The Church
M.I.K.E. - Sunrise At Palamos
Dumonde - Never Look Back
Airwave - Save Me
Jan Johnston - Flesh
Planisphere - Moonshine
Mekka - Diamondback
Delerium - Innocente
System F - Exhale
DJ Tiësto - Flight 643
Solid Sessions - Janeiro
Ralphie B - Massive
Drax & Scott - Sublime
Capetown - Stringrizer
Joker Jam - Innocence
Mirco De Govia - Epic Monolith
Private Taste - First
Solicitous - Furthermost
Meridian - 6.3
Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine
M.U.T.E. - Missed Beat
Push - The Legacy
Body-Shock - Rain In The City
Iio - Rapture
Yves Deruyter - Music Non Stop
Accadia - Into The Dawn

Not a bad list.

I think 2000 is a bad year for trance, with DJ Jean, Alice Dejjay, aTB, Rollergirl and that shit. 2001 en 2002 are good (thus far), just as TS told.

I guess you must have some really weird taste is music then cause with tunes like Exhale, Flesh, Flight 643, Save Me, Urban Train, Souvenir De Chine, Never Look Back, Furthermost and Epic Monolith...ummm, those songs are classics. Like SG said...don't get blinded by nostalgia....and so far 2002 has yet to impress me trance-wise. With a very few exceptions (and no, Ligaya ain't one of those exceptions)

that's just wrong to say such a thing!

1994, was one of the oddest years according to me.

had some great tunes with fabulous buildups and I don't know why they always spiced it up with organ lines , what the hell where they thinking back then?

goodness ! you can't ignore what existed before 97 , that is a major lack of culture! Tons of the dope artists today built their bases out of these years!
