The RVL was a cute spot, and thankfully it had JUST enough crowd there not to be overwhelming. The place is TEENY TINY, so it could either go as cute and intimate with a small crowd, or a nightmare with a big crowd. Really liked the decor, and lighting.........hated the bartenders. Like, ZERO personality, wow. They ignored you unless you called for them (saw several people besides myself having the same problem, which is weird to me, considering the bar is SUPER small and they can obviously see that people are needing their attention!! I saw one dude waving his money around in front of their faces and they just rolled their eyes at him.....pfft!) Also, when I had ordered a drink with Andrew, the girl gave him a shit ton of liquor and NONE in mine. I wish I had watched her pour it, because I am certain that my usual ~$15 drink was pure cranberry juice....no vodka
Anywho, besides the lame ass bartenders the night was a complete success!! I had a great time!!! Great music, good crowd, lots of people that I wanted to see And free sangria for an hour, wooo! Mark really killed it, I really loved what he was playing and I hope he gets more gigs in the future Jay was great too, but didnt love the guy at the end: not my style. Really glad I came out: good vibes all night |
Tristan is actually pretty good, but I wasn't feeling what he was playing last night either. And yes, Mark was really good let me know next time he plays out
The bartenders were horrible. I don't think the girl was an actual bartender, she couldn't operate the register.
edit: and did anyone notice that Polly and Tristan look like twins? Or was I intoxicated?
