The term 'condo' isn't exclusive to Miami. It refers to any sort of apartment which you own (and condo's usually come with some perks too)

lol don't tell that to any of the condo YUPPIES here in Toronto who pay top dollar for a shoe box apartment, build with the finest low quality materials there is.
