Ppl on rhythmism complain of the same thing, how the board is not the same and there are only like 10 ppl left posting there. They also blame Facebook.
Like it or not, Facebook has changed the way people connect and stay in touch with each other. I, for one, love it, keeps me in touch with family, friends from all over the world, share pics, videos, etc and talk to people I haven't seen in years at any time. Times change, and with it technology too, get with the program. Resisting change and bitching about it doesn't help you, just makes you an old person set in his ways and stuck in time. People still meet up, only meetings are not arranged in the same way as 10 years ago. Reach out to people instead of coming here being bitter about how it will never be like the "good old days", it's gotten old, move with the times.
I agree with Excess. The ones who started out as clubbers in the 90s/early 2000's have grown up. Some of us do something in the industry, and some of us got married and had kids or just don't have time for this shit and are busy with being adults. Right now in NY there is a great scene and more talent than ever, everyone wants to be a part of it and contribute to it. You could be in the middle of nowhere with no scene. Be thankful.
If you don't like the event postings here, just ignore them. Like I do with threads about your 'endeavors' that I don't really care about, but don't go in your thread and shit all over it.
