Restrictions are good in some cases. There are really no genuine needs for civilians to carry submachine guns and assault rifles. And concealed weapon licenses are as well as dangerous, just flat out insane. If sane regulations are imposed, and registration of all weapons to a registred gun owners card are introduced on a state level, it will be easier to track down illegal weapons/harder for people to obtain weapons to be used in crime. That's at least what I believe.
And to go back to the subject of military type weapons, I think Gun Clubs should be allowed to have a certain ammount of "special weapons" eg. Assault rifles, high precision sniper rifles, SMG's, for use on site by members that have passed rigurous lessons in security. Cus you know, big guns are fucking fun
Edit: There should also be regulations on how you should store your weapon. Safely secured, and seperate from ammunition being the the main point. |
Aside from what you wrote there about gun clubs there, that's pretty much how it is over here in Australia regarding gun laws. As a result, gun related crimes are very, very low here in comparison to other countries.
