Yes, it is easy to follow and sex sells but also Vampires in theory have always been seductive.
It's the explanations of what they do that is complex NOT the soap opera part of it.
They don't just see a odd creature and kill it, they build up the explanations on what it is. And they explain a new way to make Vampires than just being bit. The tribunal judge section was awesome. The rules of being a Vampire. Easy to follow, yes. Using complexion as a word to describe it was wrong. I meant informative above all other Vampire folklore Television ideas although Interview with a Vampire was a great movie. But only on Vampires, while True Blood offers all kinds of different orgins of creators and people with special gifts. Is it the best TV series as far as being the most informative... of course not but on the subject of Vampires the show and books have taken this folklore to new heights and levels.
Especially considering the whole story started with Vlad the impelor who on the old days surrounded his Castle with people on sharpened wooden stakes usually inserted though mouth or anus so you would slowly slid down the wood to your death, this could take days and frightened enemies away, it also started a legend he had a thirst for blood, then his son added on to this, just not sure how has I believe his name wad Dracula the son of Vlad, all this by memory so Google should be more accurate.
The major down fall of all this is kids and old people believing in such nonsense. Although a highly entertainment piece of fiction, more that ever people are taking this Vampire to seriously. But so it goes with every season in falsehood. A Vampire is nothing more than a person who drains peoples energy and that is not something that should be named a Vampire but more just an annoying person.
I take payments in e-juice.
