strange enough, people that are tone deaf don't actually realize it. In fact they usually think they are on pitch which has made scientists somewhat interested in the phenomena. I suppose it is like being stupid. Like your inability to distinguish tones , perhaps you also lack the ability to distinguish idiocy in the stuff you write. Unfortunately both have no cure.
