It's very possible. I was going to do it, but suddenly Photoshop CS3 needs Quicktime 7.1 (or higher) installed to be able to import a .gif as layers. Fuck that.

edit: Quicktime Alternative worked, so I'm doin it now.
edit2: somehow, it can't import more than 13 frames and it doesn't import transparency. I'm gonna have to give this up for today.
