Not a lot to chew on here, but this snippet sounds pretty good. Would need a fuller clip to give a more thorough judgment. I like that filtered sound that comes in at :03 or so, sort of a psy trance feel to it. Interested to see where you take the tune after the breakbeat, whether it goes back to more of the same or transitions to something different.

Those percs that come in at 1:32 and later, first those hats and then that nice clap, really pick it up well. Good build after 3:50, too.

Then we get to the breakdown, where I find it really difficult to remain objective, because in years of listening I haven't yet heard a soundtrack-y, orchestral trance break that I like. They never seem to "gel" with the rest of the tune for me. And the same goes for when you add the woodwind-y sound back in after the beat drops. I just can't dig that, even though I found it a quite nice melodic trancer otherwise. Put it down to my personal quirks, I guess.

One thing I notice with a lot of your mixes is that the highs are especially loud. It was definitely not as bad here as it has been before, but it always makes me wonder if your monitoring setup is skewed toward the low frequencies or something, making you overcompensate. I wonder if anyone else hears this...

Yes I noticed this on your latest Kysora - the highs did seem very loud and sharp. I think you will make the listening more easy if you can tweak this mate.

I produce on headphones, as good as K701's are I'm generally told my mixes are low on bass, heavy on the upper frequencies, and apparently that's pretty common for people producing without monitors. I've gotten a lot better at learning how to compensate but I've still got a long way to go, apparently

Thanks for being somewhat objective, I know those breakdowns are a love 'em or hate 'em type of thing so I can't blame you there. Appreciate it!

I am a headphone producer, too. That's how things must be when you make music in the same room your girlfriend uses to study. Oh well.

Right. Not a track, but I'd like to know if it sounds good. The sound quality, not the idea.

Downloads enabled if you care enough to hear it in better quality.

Production quality is high here. It sounds like second bassline is related to the initial melody in some way, which is kind of cool. But the first bassline seems kind of pointless, both because it is less interesting than the second one and because you use it for just a minute before abandoning it. I dunno, I guess you do need something to fill up the low end during that part...

All in all the track is produced to a high quality but feels like it is missing something for me, but I am not sure what. Sorry to be so vague.

Sound quality seems fine here. Maybe the bass is a little "rumbly" and less defined than it could be, but it is hard to tell on headphones. For what it is worth, I do like the idea. I could imagine a bunch of short, repetitive, hypnotic layers being built on top of that low end for an old school style trance track.
