i think its different, but its definitely catchy. i think many people cant see past the american side of music these days (overlayering, overcompression, over bass emphasizing, etc) so anything sounding a bit farfetched & miminal automatically doesnt connect to them, because i realize posters from the zones the guy mentioned in his video really enjoy it in this thread, but the americans ITT seem to think its stupid.
My advice: Open your minds a little instead of bashing it, you just might learn something

Your primary focus should be making good music. That's all. No one gives a shit how you do it. And the people that do are fags.

I don't know. They used synths that are in Reason and had the Reason graphics package and talked a little bit about Reason but I think you're both confusing causation and correlation.
I like this song. Why not make an extra buck with an advertorial about it promoting the tool that inspires you and enables you to do what you love. I'd do it if I'd have the chance. Probably at least another month's pay right there and less than a day work to put in for the video. Easy.
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

Errrr....this was done by Propellerhead Software as one of their 'Artist Stories' (link below), so yes, it definitely involves a bit of advertising for Reason. I don't like the track, but you can't deny it was a hit, because it was - number 1 in 16 countries and more than 50 million combined views on Youtube for the video. I have to say that I admire him, he sat down at his laptop (probably) and came up with an absolutely huge hit - isn't that what we'd all love to do? Technically it wasn't difficult to do, but he had the perfect combination of ingredients. Good job.
Airwave & Avatar One - Chase Childhood Monsters - out now on J00f Recordings

I don't think that's it. Look:
It's thinner and there are no controls on top

Read his post, he said the video has the LPK25 but he went with the MPK, since it has pad/knob controls instead of just keys.
The Akai LPK25:
might be an Ion Discover, though:
though they look more or less exactly the same, who knows
