Generally speaking, unless the advice is just foolish, like telling someone to mix on Skull-Candy ear-buds at maximum volume, I stay away from telling people not to follow other people's advice - even when it contradicts my own.

Basically what it is, is the ability to, as a music producer, play back your own track that your working on, but be able to be in the right mindset so that you forget about the fact that it is your own track, therefore giving you a better idea of how good or bad it sounds.

So does anyone have any pieces if advice on how to do this??? It's one of the hardest things to do in music producing in my opinion.

Honestly, and I hate to sound like a massive pot head, but smoking weed. Getting really, really high (after a nice break), and then listening to it again.

If that doesn't apply to you, then physical exercise helps, long conversations, spend a whole evening cooking a meal and eating it with a glass of wine. Just stopping and taking a break will help, but do something awesome in the meantime.

ya , no better way to get an objective approach than consume mind altering substances. Ace advice. Choke yourself and masterbate a bit. Then go back and check the bass.

Sorry, if getting stoned separates you from the universe, you might have deeper issues at hand. Ever heard of acid or mushrooms? Apparently not, but that will do the trick for the "universe". For music, it's weed. Not like I'm the first person to mention this or know it's true, so I won't bother explaining further.

I love the trans-thread trolling. Please, spare me once more. I'm not going to defend cannabis usage in the context of music. That's hilarious. If anything, you could benefit from some. It might help your arrogance subside for a moment, and hey, it might even help with the dyslexia.

While I'm not trying to make any enemies in saying this. He kinda actually has given heaps of good advice. and while I am greatfull for your input, as a 14yr old, I don't think that drugs are the best solution for this problem....
