Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead, but I had a chance to play with a few platforms and I'm getting some really fucking annoying results.

I tried mixxx, which has a pretty decent interafce (similar to serato) but for the fucking life of me I cannot get perfectly stable pitch when using either traktor or serato control vinyl. It fluctuates by about 0.15+/- making mixing basically impossible.

Same fucking problem with virtual DJ. I like the interface slight less but it still does everything it needs to, but for the life of me I cannot get the pitch to be stable.

One weird thing I noticed that I was not getting perfect green circles for the signal calibration (in either program) until I figured out that the control vinyls were dirty, so I gave em a good scrub and now I get get good calibration signals and nice round green donuts but still weird pitch fluctuation issues.

Anyone got any ideas? I wondered if a bad ground could be fucking it up or if my soundcard (Echo Audiofire4) was causing problems?

Anyone had similar issues or can test either of these programs with control vinyl?

You know what, after a little bit of digging, some people have said that the TT's might be the issues.

Maybe I've got a ground issue (which is quite ironic as I'm the person banging out about power conditioners lol), but I just can't see them having as much as .15 + or -

Does anyone have serato handy? I've used my mates serato on these decks before and at least serato itself wan't displaying that bpm change?

Does serato not display real time BPM?
