No, but they'd play a shitty, watered down imitation of it. Which is exactly what I said.

Was You Are Sleeping on Balance 005? I thought it was on one of the Deep Dish GUs. Or do you just mean the Balance 005 type of sound?

It was on Balance 005, and one of the Deep Dish GU "Afterclub" comps along with GU 25:

I definitely liked a lot of the "McProg" when it came out, and still enjoy it, though not as much as the '97 - 2002ish stuff.

I don't know if this is quite McProg (has the twinkly delayed melody but not the droning sidechained bass), but I still enjoy it:

I was just confused when it was called McProg by Sys-J, since it came out in 2002.

You hadn't heard of the term five minutes ago, and now you're getting pedantic over its time-frame?

The Luke Chable mix was 2003, by the way.

I still haven't actually listened to much post 2002 prog. Should probably get on that one day. First need to go listen to Fundacion, apparently.

I Have Put Out The Light is much better than the OP song, might be my favorite song of all time (definitely one of them), but I do love the OP as well. Not sure why, since the lyrics are a bit gimmicky, but I still do. Second half instrumental is definitely amazing, though.

I can understand the "gimmicky" comment, because the lyrics in You Are Sleeping don't really fit the mood of the track, but they are still some of the most interesting you'll hear in a popular club record. I love the suggestiveness of narrating it in second person and present tense, adds much more ambiguity as to who is telling the story and who they're referring to. There are little details - I always wondered what he means exactly when he says "You tell them who you are". I wish I knew the full story behind the lyrics, because nobody has a clear answer as to where they came from or who wrote them.

This sounds so painfully Euro to me at this point. I used to masturbate furiously to this in high school, I think.

Fundacion is some essential Sasha listening, and also his last great hurrah.
