finally set the 80s next to my genelecs. My room is small ish and although I had treatment before, i didn't need to do much with the yamahas as there is a surprizing amount of control on the back to configure to your room. I got another bass trap and a narrow band absorber. They sound I guess how they are supposed to sound, really dry. I have the volume on like the second bar. They are fucking loud.

That's about right - they do sound pretty dry but balanced. And yes, they are seriously loud. DO you have a monitor volume control?

not really. 3 calibrated setttings on my soundcard.

That'll work. Does your soundcard let you have and recall master output presets? Or do you just manually change it for each speaker set?

recall settings. i do have a volume control for emergencies like when i listen to djRyan;s stuff , i have my hand on that. BUt otherwise don't use it.
