they dont play any one genre, they are all over the place. In the end its what makes the women wild and the men hop. I dont see anyone else making a crowd move like that.
They got lucky with timing and word of mouth in 2009-2010. They had been around long before that and used to play HOUSE as we used to know it. I even saw them play a real house set at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza in 2009 and thought to myself "i dont see what the fuss is about" then later that night at Pacha they were a different animal. Played tracks like Robin S - Show me love. The crowd dug it and i enjoyed the crowd.
In the end, people can complain but their promotion team and their audience have built one fucking fantastically fun show. I will go to a SHM show over a show with DJ Sneak any time of day and I like DJ Sneaks taste in music more.

DJ Sneak should be more concerned about his weight. He and Carl Cox must be on the same diet.

personally i'd call what the swedes play now commercial house, cheesy house or my favorite, handbag house (terms that came from England years ago describing girls dancing on sofas/tables at club to cheesy house while holding big handbags).

Actually you do, just not with the top trance DJs who are all trance's versions of SHM these days. Smaller trance DJs are certainly knocking what the top DJs are playing and for what they have done to the scene.
The argument about how many people they draw is irrelevant. Quality in most things is inversely proportional to popularity. Other forces come into play. The masses want to hear popular song after popular song. I want a night filled with unknown tracks.
