if i sat here typing spices i would be here all day. My sister just bought me 6 artisinal spice (including lemon and lime infused rock salt and campire smoked celtic salt that are so win with fish.) things the other day...and i have so much that when i moved out i took 2 big boxes of spices and such with me. For the prices it costs...and i am a jew:P

herbs-
parsley, mint, coriander, basil, thyme, lemon thyme

spices - Mixed spice, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger

other things-
sprouted seeds (alfalfa, lentil, pea shoots, beansprouts, radish etc)

and anything 'onion' I use almost daily. Spring onion, shallots, red onion, white onion, cooking onion, leeks. I'm an onionphile.

i am a sucker for peppers, of the capsicum varieties, so i have a fair selection of chilli peppers.
among one of them is a habanero/jalapeno/rawit mix thats kinda baked in a patty and ground up. makes for a very pleasant taste and heat. Ive named it El Suicidio Del Idiota and i use it on pretty much anything i dont sprinkle chocolate habaneros on.

other than that im a big fan of stuff like basil, bay leaves, parsley, garlic, and the taste of black pepper is also phenomenal when just the right amount.

oh and olive oil for mediterranean stuff, sunflower or other seed oil for regular cooking.
