Moby used to have a show on college radio back in the day that was on really late at night. I used to sit there and angle my radio antenna for hours until it was tuned in as clear as it could be to listen lol

2004- ASOT moved me over to trance
2005- prog house/prog trance (mcprog lol)
2006- minimal and electro house
2007- anjunadeep style progressive house/progressive trance
2008- nu-disco and indie stuff, lots of other disco influenced sub-genres

funny you mention that. I remember that some of the shows would advertise that they would have records and CDs donated to them by local record stores. The record stores that were around in that era really did have some amazing music. I still have a couple of old mixes from those days on tape...I only managed to digitize a couple of them/...

Some time in the late 90's with just random happy hardcore type garbage. First event was some random warehouse in Detroit, only lasted about an hour then we ran from the cops. I think I was like 13 or 14. First notable event was Techfest in Detroit, maybe 2000 or 2001.

Then I gave up on that crazy lifestyle for about 5 years from there, because drugs were pretty much putting most of the people I knew in holes or jail. Then I came out west where shit was 1000x more legit and felt like more of a party in legal venues/clubs with bars etc, then just hundred idiots fried out of their brains. Been partying strong since.
