yup, plus playing 1-3 shows a week the pads start to get loose and fall off easily, so i just go grab a new pair, i also don't like when the cord gets stretched out, once they get slutty i give them away or i get drunk and lose them or they get stolen

they weren't getting babied in the bedroom, but seeing some hardcore working dj use

not once did they break, i like fresh headphones, kinda like buying new underwear

I remember why I don't visit this site anymore... too many assholes! Most people like the sony dj headphones I forget the exact model names but you're gonna be spending 100-200 for mid-range pro quality. If you can make it to a guitar center or another store, tell them you want to buy headphones and want to test out a couple pairs. Try to plug into a mixer or something powered, not a iPod because you won't get the same sound out of an iPod you will be getting from a mixer (depending on the headphone). Sony, xone, and pioneer are probably the 3 most popular brands and there are models for almost any price range.

Let us know what you get and maybe write a lil review. especially if you try out a few pairs at the same time (which i have never even done and I've been djing for a while).

GOOD LUCK!!!!

don't wrap your cord around the headphones, tuck it in the case/bag (it'll help u avoid stretching out the cord). i never had a cord unroll on me and a lot of my friends have. they wrap their cords around their headphones, I don't.
