But the other guy used to use a tracker i remember.

I hated all the dance i heard until about 1998.

I mean like the disco influenced stuff was fine but like that shit people use to rave to. man i fucking hated it.

I grew up in Texas, the middle of the country is usually way behind the coasts on trends like EDM, so I never once heard anyone talking about it. Also, I would have been pretty young before that time anyway. Finally, this was before youtube (or at the very start) which has made it a lot easier to find music worldwide.

I had heard Darude - Sandstorm and maybe a few other tracks but I just thought they were like an electronica song or something.

Thanks again guys. Well, I grew up in Oklahoma, and there were raves going on in Arkansas and everything like that. I was 12 though. I actually think my dad went to a rave once with my sister because she was too young to go by herself (14) but our older sister (17) could attend by herself. But it really is a matter of exposure, you basically had to dig to find it if there weren't any raves or clubs to hear it in. A DJ Dan rave must have really, really sucked balls. No wonder he ditched all his EDM CDs!

ahh righto, just seemed a little odd to me. I grew up in a pretty small town out of the city too, maybe not that remote but I still remember all the dance stuff on the radio and DJs playing at blue light parties and shit when I was still at school etc. but hey I don't really have much of an idea of what things are like in Texas.
