Alright, yes, I completely agree with everything you said(This was the kind of response I was hoping for). The flow was off; there were several selections upon listening back that make no sense and I was pretty frustrated with that. Really, the only response I can have at this point is I need to A) spend more time with my tracks, and B) spend more time actually mixing and practicing. Although, at this point I don't really know what my end goal with all this stuff is outside of just a vague hobby, but I think you've touched on that in a review of my "work" previously.

Thank you for sticking with it, and I really do appreciate the feedback. I never play for people, so the only time I get any sort of critique is through this type of stuff. WORSTDJEVR. BEDROOM4LIFE.

Was this mixed totally on the fly or was there planning involved?

Was pretty much all on the fly. I had written down a tracklist for part of this previously when I was also messing around and decided some stuff worked together. I used that as a template, but pretty much cobbled it all together as I went.

Hmm, well I guess it depends on what your objectives were for this mix. If you wanted to craft something for home listening, there's nothing wrong with drawing out a plan or even practising the whole thing numerous times. It's very difficult to do spontaneous mixing and still craft a brilliant headphone set, because the idea of spontaneous mixing is you've got a crowd to feed off.

Yup. In the past I've had issues trying to "craft" sets. Whether it's my awful work ethic or lack of attention span, I can't ever seem to actually get a mix completed when I start trying to plan it. I either get bored or disinterested and move on.

I've got a few ideas for sets that I'd like to try and flesh out, so hopefully I can actually follow through on that in the coming weeks.

I don't think it's necessary to carefully craft every part of the mix, because it seems like you're getting there in terms of spontaneous mixing and flow. Come up with a firm mental impression of the structure of the set and a couple of key tracks you want to use in certain places, and then try and improvise off the back of that framework.

A Made Up Sound tracks are a bitch to mix (well, at least that one). And since I'm somewhat of a 2562 fanboy I'll have to ask why you hate the track so much

It's just fucking obnoxious. I'm not sure how the track is supposed to be pleasing. I really can't figure out what it's trying to do.

Haha, yeah, I was about to say something along those lines. Ted Promo did not like it at all either, I believe he said something along the lines of "Wow, track 3 is quite the spook show".

It's like 2562 does fidget house, except with trendy techno synth patches. Woony dutifully falls in love.

Does Adam talk to you the way he writes on here?

I'm torn on the track, personally, if anyone cares. I really like half of it, and then hate half of it as well *shrug*
