way to paint a narrow picture of a broad spectrum that you have completely lost touch with.

Okay Jay. You tell a story with your gay disco pump music.

You have no productions or anything to whore. You do it for the story time. Well good luck to you mate!

Mean while back in the real world there are perhaps ten clubs world wide that are sucessful and credible.

The big mega festivals, the huge Ibiza clubs, all the top 40 vibes, just throw in a 200 records selection and let the computer randomly play some.

This idea came about as a result of witnessing several DJs recently who literally fade mixed the biggest tunes of the moment.

You can tell your stories on your mix CDs or soundcloud account. To which there are still many great DJs out there who do this. But in terms of a club venue, in an age where everyone just wants to go and get twatted and music comes about 5/6th down the importance list you're being naive to say that DJs are relevant in 99% of situations.

i probably make more in a weekend for my "fist pump story time" than some people make in a month. i must be doing something wrong, having shoes worth more than you and so on...

I think that you are just out of touch with what is really going on....because there are some really good djs out there that i am sure you have never heard of, even if they are really popular. why? because you are stuck in 2003.

I didn't join since late 2004.

I am not disputing there are excellent DJs in fact read above and I said as such.

But in 95% of club environments 95% of people would not give a shit or even notice if the DJ booth vanished.

Surely even you can admit that, given the fact you made money for your expensive shoes by playing a premixed CD. Just move things on and licence a duke box/app in your name. More cash, less effort, more time for making crap remarks online.

Everyone wins baby.

Anyone who says "the art of DJing is dead" should be required to list all the DJs they went to see in the last 12 months.

The art of the pure DJ is dead. Now all we got are producers and label whores caning their own/friend's/label's records and remixes. They're not there to tell you a story. They're only there to promote themselves: The Producer as rock band, live in concert DJing his pre-recorded productions.

What a load of bollocks Ishkur.. It would be pointless to even elaborate on why you're wrong. Take your keys, open the door and go outside. What a load..

This goes to show how badly the EDM scene is in need of a proper concept album a la 'Dark Side Of The Moon'.

If you go see shitty DJs, chances are that they will be shit. You are like the ghost of Christmas past, the difference being people actually like Christmas.

I didn't know Ishkur was DJ Ryan.

If the DJs all sucked, why did you keep going to events with DJs? Seems to me that you spending money on something you don't like is rather intelligent.
