Incidentally, the other half of Ogenki Clinic is a guy called Gwill Morris (who was also in Main Element, etc.) and he's also the resident at a classics night called Plasma Future in Manchester. He plays a lot of Holden and Silver Planet, so if you want to hear the twinkly Holden prog sound on a dancefloor, go see Gwill Morris instead. He's very good at what he does, too. |
What is the crowd like there?
Very local and I would not mind going to it, but if it's like a few of the last classic trance nights (either full of shirtless roid monkeys) or has 3 people in, if not sure it's worth the hangover.

...it seems like there is a good diversity compared to say modern day Trance which basically just comes down to an exact formula with almost no room to differentiate yourself from the next guy.

Like progressive psytrance?
I don't disagree, btw.

Most of the progressive psytrance I have listened to sounded the same, but I may have been looking in the wrong places. Most of what I found wasn't through established DJ's but digging through beatport.

Same here.

All the tracks have wicked atmospheres and slick production; however, they also sound similar to each other.
