Service wasn't bad
Had both waiters, the outgoing asian guy and the girl, it was just the sushis, most in general lacked a certain flavor, wanting to go to Tri Express and Kazu left me disappointed. And yes I'm positive that nothing comes out of the microwave but I'm used to chicken teriyaki coming out burning on a hot wooden stove with mushrooms, rice etc... just wasn't my style... Then again I didn't know.

But simple Sushi taste wasn't there that night.

For the high profile and popular places, I recommend calling on Tuesday to reserve for the weekend. By Thursday it's often too late and it's full (the best timeslots are)

Decided on Ginger for Saturday night before Igloo. Really enjoyed the food - a little bit pricey - but quality was there.

The fish was very fresh and the one salmon roll I had was great. (The Salmon Deluxe). Had the spicy salmon roll which had lettuce in it as well - this was not my favourite as there was too much lettuce which really took away from the flavour and made it quite bland.

My wife had the chicken teriyaki and we both thought it had a lot of flavour.

All and all I would go back again to try some of the different items.

happy you enjoyed it chris

salmon deluxe is by far my favourite roll. at 12$, it's a 'spoil myself' treat.

spicy salmon is a go-to maki for me, although i do agree about the lettuce. i always tell my chef to go easier on it, but hey, what else can i do you know?

hope to see you back soon

So I finally went to Park last night. Anthonio Park was exec chef at Kaisen from 08-11 before opening Park in Westmount about a year ago.
This guy is a master, his food is amazing. Definitely a must-try. I went for the Omakase tasting menu at $60 and I was really impressed. Clearly it's only a teaser to get new customers hooked, totally worked with me.
Chef is Korean but was raised in south america so there are some influences in the dishes. Ex: jalapeno slice on a sushi or an amazing salsa served with octopus
9/10
