Oh, I see. So because I don't want to build synth from scratch in one of the least intuitive software environments I've ever come across, I should abandon my advanced professional knowledge of PTHD, Logic, Cubase, Wavelab, Soundforge, Euphonix Broadcast desks and downgrade to Garageband on my ipad.

Hold on but that means I just have to be the same to be allowed to say it. My cousin has Autism and I've often been called the village idiot. Does that count?

Easy home slice, I was just gently prodding.
My music is generated by cosmic interpretations ran thru an aleatoric transfer function and I woukd be lost without realtors ability to take this informatiion and get proper vosim cross modulation on my duck sample. I then use max msp to take that sound and generate an evolving chebyshev based operation resampled then distorted to get the fattest wobble ever. Sure , massive could do it theoretically with 1 oscillator but the sound would have no meaning therefore no artistic value.
French mint is probably better and supposedly makes you dance real good. Matt Damon typically has like 12 a day.

Reaktor really is a workflow thing.
I don't like the way ensembles load in, I don't like the way it may or may not save within a project and I don't really want to fack about stringing a synth together if I want a sound. I probably could if I decided I wanted to, but life's too short. All I use it for is firing up Razor or something and bouncing to audio.
Hardware is a preference, not a choice for the better (although let's face it, it is).
I've been in a position to use both extensively, and the combination of hardware synths and FX is a more creative approach for me whether I'm using presets, programming from scratch or an combination in between.
The gearslutz attitude of 'if you don't weld in your own valves you ain't a real musician' is just bullshit. On the flipside the loop and Nexus boys can bite me too.
I remember watching BBC Rock School back in the 80s where they had a long discussion on MIDI sequencing and some of the old skool were complaining that it was cheating. I wonder what they would have thought at the idea of Cubase 7.
Oh, and I can play the keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. Not particularly well, but enough for my needs. I have enough contacts that are willing to put their skills to my work that it's irrelevant anyway, just like most other musicians in a similar situation to me.

I just like to work different, even without talent it's just more fun

I've told you before and I'll tell you again; Thrust it straight in, conkers deep. I can't take the quivering anticipation.

I believe it. I actually have some morrocan mint sitting here, as well as this really nice Tuscan Garden Tea which is a mix of organic citrus and fruit.
