Can only speak for myself, but I earn more on the producah ecosystem then on releasing. Really no one cares about releasing anymore the market is saturated with content, I can't even be bothered anymore to listen to podcasts or Beatport top100's basically dropping on my NAS automatically, in EDM, really there is too much content.

How on earth can you hurt my feelings? This is the internet. The only way you could hurt my feelings is by telling me you were dying or something because you know I have a soft spot for you.

As for my purchases, you seem to forget that I was buying, using and gigging with hardware when you were still playing with lego (you know, the first time round). I still have hardware now, combined with an extremely extensive software setup. I'm more than aware of the pro's and con's of each, and actually want to own more hardware. I like it and I enjoy it. Your borderline vulcan need to be logical and practical has no relevance on my decisions. And as a side note, I have enough money in the bank to buy pretty much whatever I want this side of a full size SSL or Neve desk, but I obviously don't need that. I actually enjoy the process as much as the result.

Oh and Dave, nice

The one I had was slightly older model than the one in my link, but I cou;dn't find an image / model details anywhere, but I suspect the one linked to would be similar.

On things like vocals that unit I had was just unbeatable - this was some time back when I had lots of hardware and made totally different musak.

I broke it in the end.
The way it thickens things is like no other FX I've ever used.

It was a lot easier to use than the late 90's Roland / Boss multi fx units.

Now I'm in the market for a 1/2-rack compressor to mate with my SSL. Or, I might sell the Drawmer and get a small-ish (e.g., 6U) lunchbox and fill it with some 500-series toys, but that's a slippery slope, for sure.

really neutral, with nice saturation when clipping the ADC's had a long DAC journey, from dedicated stereo, benchmark, TCElectronic etc.
But the Alphalink sounds most neutral and open IMHO, the benchmark had a little hifi dip around 200hz, the TC was bright, but not open, for me this is exactly right.

The other slutty thing i bought is an Innerclock SyncGen II Pro, to tame my TT-303, Tempest and all other units that can sync to midi clock
Just learned my Cirklon comes in may and that's it then
DAW less mixing via Cirklon and Genome and all the synths onboard goodies
Mixed on SSL with Lexicon on the send/returns
No AD<>DA conversion during mixdown, analogue all the way. (It's an irrational fetish. I know, but to my ears, it just sounds better)
