I used to live in the city, so I was blessed with having WMC in the backyard. Definitely the best time of year in Miami, best weather, best crowd and music. Unfortunately, as is with anything popular, it has gone extremely downhill. The crowds have changed, prices have been jacked up, and that combination downgrades the vibe. Would I want to be in Miami right now? Of course. There are always some underground and lesser known party going on aside from the mainstream popular ones. So yea, I rather be there than been stuck on the 405. Is WMC worth it? If you've never been, I think it's worth checking out, if you have in the past, I think that it's better to keep those good memories and not bother spending all that cash, but if money is not an issue, than why not. I think South FL in march has got the best weather for the music.

Not a review, really just wanted to contribute to the thread.
Just got back last night…and already counting the days till next year. We did Thursday-Monday.
Yeah, there is some stuff musically , vibe(ally), and personally that’s just lame…..but really for me and our crew (20 + a couple of WCTAs) it’s about what you make it.
My Wife and I did mostly smaller events…Afternoon Delight, HouseGuests party, etc. Dancers events, where both music and vibe were great. Caught a sick DnB show for free just walking back to the Hotel.
So it really does depend on your events choices.
Our “big” events were Enter at Mansion on Friday and the Waveform Pool Party at Shelborne on Sat.
Thought going to Mansion on Friday was going to be my least favorite of the trip…until Paco Osuna blew me out of the water. (Despite Mansion’s penchant for Douchebagery, the vibe was great…which probably had mostly to do with it was Mr. Hawtin’s Enter party. )
Dress Codes: All lax…but if you’re a Dude and you are going to club at night…utilize common sense…don’t wear shorts and flip flops. Jeans a button down and tennies are fine.
We did spend a bunch of cash total like $2-$3k with airfare and hotel…but saved a TON of money in other places: Started saving and collecting Starbucks and Subway giftcards last year….perfect!!!
We also stocked our room with a cooler, beer, case of water, fruit, etc. We brought trail mix and energy bars.
$9+ for a Corona…yes…so we found a bar with $8 pitchers and started every day / night there. (Kill Your Idol)
Also utilized “The List” and found a bunch of really great free and $10-20 parties each day. Hit up several of them during the stay. Saw J Paul Getto and DJ Dan tear it up on the Rooftop Terrace at Clevelander for FREE on Thursday day/evening.
…Will post my actual review in the FLA forum later….but if you ever questioned going at least 1x: Don’t.
Go and make it your own….totally worth it!
