you sound like an absolute tool to the industry if you ask me. Lets just get raped with 14 dollar drinks and cheesy music, go along with that? im all set. Maybe the clubs needs to realize that its not all about MONEY and its more about people experiencing the music like it should be. NYC is a huge house market, it dominates, but ya know what Esscala is bringing in every trance dj you can possibly imagine. If it was done right in florida ill put money people would show up. I hear a lot of people i know personally asking for more trance down in florida . |
So you call me a tool because I'm giving you one of the reasons you don't see more trance bookings down here, makes sense to me. You're trying to tell me the drink prices at Santos and Pachita (where a lot of the Esscala events are held) aren't on that same pricing tier as the Miami clubs, yea I don't believe it because I know they are very close to same price. I see your where you're coming from about clubs needing to realize it's not all about money, great concept but at the end of the day if a venue doesn't make money you won't be partying in that venue anymore. I'll agree with you about the cheesy music part but not supporting the shit music in the beginning will never lead to who you want to see. Again it's all my opinion and just telling you guys what I've seen with trance acts and the figures at the end of the day.

so if trance is dead in miami, then what term would we use for the state of trance in Tampa? The AMP is killing me. I would suck it up and see a show there every now and again, but I teach high school and have a rule that I don't attend venues or functions where I know I will see students. Since I am not as seasoned as most of you, I expect a PM whenever there is something going on that I shouldn't be missing. help a brotha out.

You're SOL. All the trance shows in Tampa are 18+. Because without the 18 year olds, there wouldn't be enough tickets sold.
You could go to Martini Republic, Jackson's, or the Kennedy, but none of those venues ever book trance.
Shitty spot that trance is in, isn't it?
