Yeah, that's what I'm curious about. How on Earth did that happen?!
My three friends and I were leaving a 80's club over 10 years ago. Well, after the club closed at 2am we were walking to the car when another car full of guys pulled behind our car so we couldn't get out of the parking spot. They said something and I was already going to walk to their car and see what the problem was when something told me not to. Anyhow, they let us leave but follow us and empty a whole clipp of a 9mm into the car. My friend was grazed in the neck.
They were either just looking for trouble or mistaken identity.

I'm glad you're even alive after that!

An Uno is a popular card to steal for parts. When me an my friends got our first cars (all utter pieces of shit) a couple had fiats, and they got most of their parts from erm, "questionable places". It was rife, and that was in London - I can only imagine what it's like in Brazil or South Africa.
That same first car (golf Mk1) crapped out on me within 18 months and as I didn't want to pay the fees to scrap it, I left near my house, next to a small park and within two weeks someone liberated it. The car was older than me and still got nicked in a very short amount of time.
Yeah, I've been thinking about it. If this is the end of my Uno, at least I can rejoice in the fact it died as an organ donor

Not to hijack your thread, sorry about your car. BUT, if I had walkked to that car as was my first impulse, they prolly shot me dead right there.

Sleeping in someones car in MT seems like a recipe for getting shot.

Our 2003 Jeep TJ was stolen once... they crawled in the soft top and started it up. They left an old BMX bike behind. It had eli's tools and camping gear in the back because he was all packed up to go work on the road in BC for a few weeks. We drove around town looking in all the dump spots (the cops here are useless for vehicle theft) and eventually we did find it in a parking lot north of town. We called the cops to come look at it and we found a Bruce Springsteen cassette tape, a scratch ticket, a used condom wraper and our sleeping bag was disheveled. We had a lot of parts stolen off our jeep including the whole computer once. We sold it for a nissan altima.
