i guess maybe you could try the Wet CD's like Kirby said. decent older stuff that isnt cheese like DJ sammy but has sorta the same lighter feel..ahh i hate to comprare the two. id say go with the second cd first to keep thier attention then if they like it play the first one. or you could always play some DJ Dawn and give them a kick in the pants . overall if they complain too much tell them to shut the f*ck up its your car, your gas, if they dont like it they cant find a ride elsewhere. listen to what makes you happy not them

Just play what you like. You don't need to play anything in particular to show off.

no.......i would not suggest Global Underground CD's for this particular situation. This is only due to the fact that when i first got into trance i was into more melodic, more cheesy sounding stuff, and i'd heard about all these big names before so i picked up GU14, John Digweed / Hong Kong.........i could not understand how ppl could listen to it, to me it was just the same repetitive beats over and over and it used to annoy the shit outta me!!! but only after a while when i actulley learnt to appreciate trance did i learn to like this CD.......when i listen to it now i think to myself "how could i eva have not liked this stuff " heheheheh

I Had the exact same situation.
I Used to think Progressive is borring, and I neber really checked the GU series.
Until my good friend Trancegiant recommended me to get Sasha 013 and I'm pretty much addicted ever since.
