You know this may sound stupid. But this actually worked for me many times. When you're in bed and can't sleep, lay on your back, hold one arm up and keep it there....as long as you can. You will notice that your arm is getting heavier and heavier and it's starting to go from left to right.
Watch out though!!! Cause you will not be able to control the movements!! It's true!!
Two things can happen from there, you get extremly exhausted, laugh about it and fall into sleep because you did not think of anything else, like I suggested before, or you just knocked your self out.
