Making percussion stripped back with every sound serving a purpose, no more filler perc. Less super busy perc/hats, more focus on minimizing to get the greatest effect with as little as possible. Greater focus on sound selection, layering sounds instead of having more instrumentation/parts. Less arena washed out verb, more M/S pingpong delay on re-pitch to get nice stereo/wet effects without reverb.
A lot more vocal editing, almost using vocal edits and stutters for percussive parts, lots more warping, transposing, key changing.
Insane amounts of automation, and being way more open minded to automating anything and everything, including EQs.
As I diverge from old production habits from years of producing progressive trance and stuff like that, phasing out so much reliance on side chaining, with the classic sidechain pump sound almost never heard.
Sitting the kick and percussive bass on top of each other (e.g., bassdrum, 909) when they both fall on the downbeat, giving percussive, plucky bass sounds more ownership of that part of the mix and the style, again, not really side chaining much anymore, and if I am it's only like 4-10 dB. Depends on the style, but I do use it for certain things if applicable.
