well i personally prefer the Donald & Giles Remix of this track... much better than all the new remixes... and it's a dub
but i'm getting addidcted to these vocals too... at first didn't like them at all.. cause the track sounds so different than the Donald & Giles Remix...
great examples are
nu-nrg - the moon loves the sun
hemstock & jennings - mirage of hope

same!

I like tracks with vocals and tracks without, although some vocals just don't fit well with the song. The vocals kind of have to flow nicely over the rest of the elements of the track, otherwise it sounds like cheese

i think that vocals can easily ruin a good piece of music. but then again sometimes on some tracks the vocal are a must.
examples:
fable - song to the siren
all of delerium's songs
etc. etc.
but there are far too many tracks ruined by vocals, such as:
riva feat. dannii minogue - who do you love now?
(the original stringer was so good, this is just plain shit)
usually if you add vocals it goes too poppy!
but the best vocal track that i can think of is definately
cass & slide - perception (vocal mix)
that's just heaven! but it's pretty good without the vocals even! but the vocal on that are the most beautiful i've ever heard! does anyone know who the hell sings it?

If I see two versions of a track, one with vocals and one without, I will usually download the vocal mix over the instrumental mix (but will check out the dub later). That said I suspect I have similiar proportions of vocal and instrumental tracks in my mp3 collection, so really I don't know what I'm talking about.
