McConaughey has been doing credible work for a little while now. Lincoln Lawyer, Mud, Dallas Buyer's Club etc. He's definitely shed his former image in my eyes. The cinematography in True Detective is really good, totally agreed, I guess what I always look for is a really tight story line, and it hasn't hit me there yet. I do like the show though, I'm actually about to watch last night's ep right now.

I'm almost at the end of S2 of House of Cards and I'm pretty into it. Sucks that I'll have to wait damn near a year for the next batch. I can't help but think that anyone who likes the political backstabbiness of this show should really check out the show Boss though. It was on Starz and got axed after two seasons but it's serious quality. I never thought I'd love a show with Kelsey Grammer but he does an incredible job playing the semi-corrupt mayor of Chicago dealing with onset Louie Body dementia. Not to mention, the cinematography is excellent. I recommend it to everyone I meet who's fiending for a new TV series.

When was this Edge of Darkness show on? I searched in torrents and got something from 1983, is that right?

I'm waiting to binge-watch it...told the girlfriend that she should finish season 1 and then we'd watch it together. I've heard good things, anyway.

I've been recommending this to everyone who likes House of Cards. Sadly, they still haven't gotten around to watching it. I have no idea why, because Boss is the boss.
Maybe because House of Cards is plastered over every single busstop known to mankind.
