except i think given that i can play 4 instruments at well drums is my worse, and that i have about 20 years of playing on you , that perhaps you are the one that doesn't hear properly.


as far as your videos,
the first video, only because of the syncopation, but it is missing what musicians would say in the pocket. Its not. And that is something you won't hear. Most musicians don't hear it or understand it.
the second one, not even close.

The thing you don't get is that there is no style of music i don't know. So sure , you mentioned pop, and i had a recording of me. Thats pop. And yes i like that track, but if that is all i liked, sure , i would be worried, but i could list an infallible list of music i know people consider infallible which I also know but that is just lame.

Tell you what,

if you can sing something that is groovy, just sing it, then you understand what groove is. Sing a 2 bar drum beat. If you can't do that, you haven't internalized it.

I think given the fact i can actually play what is groovy, and talk about groove in concrete terms which i have done before but i ain't going to now , i just don't think you have anything to add other than your tastes. You hate those tracks. Fair enough.
