Harald Blüchel (Cosmic Baby) had a big part in showing PVD the ropes. Paul's first noted release, is a remix of a Cosmic Baby track which credits Cosmic Baby...he's was basically an idea guy for most of his career, learning how to apply his own technical knowledge as time goes on.

Depends on the industry.

In EDM , I find that guys have limited tools and get good at one thing, and then that thing stops being relevant and they disappear. They get into drugs and drop of the map. Realize they can't handle the touring and do other styles of music or retire or stay relevant and generally better with many just coasting doing enough to stay relevant but nothing ground breaking.

I think everyone has those periods of creativity which are generally the result of a lot of work and it isn't always sustainable or maybe I should say rarely.
